Course Policies

I don't accept late work or give make-up exams. If you miss an exam (due to a valid excuse), the comprehensive final will count twice. Valid excuses are shark attack (with limb removal), University sanctioned event, illness with doctor's note and death in the family.

Resources

If you need help with a programming assignment, please visit the help lab in NTRP F205. Your lab TA will have hours in this lab - talk with him or her.

Recommendation Letters / Directed Studies

I write recommendation letters and participate in directed studies with students who have completed a course with me and received an 'A'.

Academic Dishonesty

I know that it is easy to copy the works of others in the era of digital storage. Please don't do it. Exchaning electronic media - copying someone else's program and modifying it or copying the entire solution to a problem from the web, or typing in a printout of someone else's work is cheating, and you will receive an F for the semester. Asking someone for help or for direction in how to solve a particular problem is encouraged, just please don't exchange electronic media or copy in their program.
